On 25 November 2025, the Department of Higher School Pedagogy of the Institute of Social and Human Sciences (ISHS) conducted a scheduled methodological seminar aligned with the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. The event was led by Professor M.A.Satybekova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, who delivered a presentation on the topic “Education for Sustainable Development and Biodiversity Conservation.”
During the seminar, Professor M.A.Satybekova provided an in-depth explanation of the concept of sustainable development, elaborated on its conceptual foundations, and presented analysis of the regulatory documents governing sustainable development activities in the Kyrgyz Republic. Participants received detailed explanations of all 17 Sustainable Development Goals, along with an outline of the specific features of integrating the SDGs into the educational sphere.
In addition, a substantive discussion was organized on the topic “Sustainable Development as the Harmonious Development of Culture,” and a high-level methodological session was conducted using visual materials and technological resources.
The seminar was attended by the Director of the ISHS, Candidate of Sociological Sciences, Associate Professor A.R.Zhusubaliev, the Chief Specialist of the Strategic Development Center of KNU, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Zh.M.Kemeldinova, Otorberkova A.Sh, as well as the academic staff of the Department of Higher School Pedagogy.
The methodological seminar highlighted the relevance of education for sustainable development and made a significant contribution to enhancing the professional competence of the faculty of the Department of Higher School Pedagogy.
