The roundtable “Financial Aspects of Sustainable Development of the Kyrgyz Republic” was successfully held at Higher School of Economics.
The event was organized by the Department of Banking and Taxation in the framework of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the National Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2030.
The roundtable served as an open discussion platform that brought together representatives of academia, government agencies, the financial sector, international organizations, and the expert community to address key issues of societal financial sustainability:
- Sustainable access to economic resources
- Development of financial literacy and sustainable mindset
- Expansion of accessible financial services.
Participants emphasized that financial literacy is the foundation for achieving the national SDGs. A resolution was adopted with specific recommendations to strengthen financial education, digitize services, and promote inclusive financial products.
