On 3 October 2026, the teaching staff of the International Institute of Medicine and Science at the J. Balasagyn Kyrgyz National University organized a guided tour for students from India to the ‘Ata-Beyit’ memorial complex — one of the most important historical and memorial sites in the Kyrgyz Republic.
During their visit to the complex, the tour participants learnt about key events in the history of Kyrgyzstan, discovered more about outstanding figures who have made a significant contribution to the development of the state and society, and gained a deeper understanding of the country’s historical and cultural heritage.
The excursion was designed to broaden international students’ knowledge of Kyrgyzstan, foster intercultural understanding and instill a respectful attitude towards the history and national values of the Kyrgyz people.
Events such as these form an important part of the institute’s work to help international students settle in and enable them to gain a deeper understanding of the country’s culture, traditions and history.
