On May 21, 2025 an official meeting of the Vice-Rector of KNU, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Nazarkul Ishekeev with the delegation of Keimyung University (Republic of Korea) was held at Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn. The visit was held within the framework of the project “Creation of the Department of Applied Artificial Intelligence and Modernization of Curricula to Strengthen the Personnel Potential of the Institute of Computer Technologies and Artificial Intelligence of KNU”.

Vice-Rector Nazarkul Ishekeev noted that in a rapidly changing world, the university must keep up with the time by introducing artificial intelligence into the educational process. “The experience of Keimyung University is of great interest to us. Within the framework of the seminar, we will discuss both practical and ethical aspects of using AI. KNU is open to cooperation,” he emphasized.

Professor of Keimyung University Joo Hong-Taek thanked for the warm welcome and expressed the readiness of the Korean side to provide technical support. He said that the cooperation project will be implemented in three stages, and this summer KNU teachers will undergo an internship in South Korea.

During the seminar, reports were made and opinions were exchanged. Director of the Institute of Computer Technologies and Artificial Intelligence of KNU Amantur Ryspaev said that starting from the 2025-2026 academic year, training in AI elements will be introduced in all educational structures of the university. This cooperation is aimed at strengthening the scientific and educational potential of KNU and training specialists in demand in the digital age.
