On November 28, 2024 the final meeting of the members of the external expert commission on international institutional and program accreditation of bachelor’s, master’s and PhD educational programs of KNU, conducted by the National Center for Professional and Public Accreditation of the Russian Federation together with the Independent Accreditation Agency “Bilim-Standard” of the Kyrgyz Republic, took place in the large assembly hall of the main building.

The event was opened by the Director of the Independent Accreditation Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic “Bilim-Standard” Erik Esentaev and he gave the floor to the head of the accreditation department of the National Center for Professional and Public Accreditation of the Russian Federation Korotkov Petr Anatolyevich. He said that the final assessment will be known after the experts make their reports, and the decision will be made at a meeting of the National Accreditation Council, which will be held on December 20, 2024 in Moscow.

Next, the chairmen of the expert commissions spoke, sharing their impressions from the meetings with representatives of the structural divisions of KNU, where the EPs are being implemented, and spoke about their achievements and successes, as well as making their recommendations.

Chairmen of the cluster commissions are as follows:

  • Chernykh Evgeniya Evgenievna – PhD in Law, Associate Professor, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Dean of the Faculty of Law of the Nizhny Novgorod State University named after N.I. Lobachevsky (cluster “Jurisprudence”);
  • Berezina Tamara Ivanovna – Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Moscow State Pedagogical University (cluster “Pedagogy”);
  • Borozinets Natalia Mikhailovna – PhD in Psychology, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Correctional Psychology and Pedagogy of the Psychology and Pedagogy Faculty of the North Caucasus Federal University (cluster “Psychology”, “Philosophy”);
  • Atabekova Anastasia Anatolyevna – PhD in Philosophy, Professor, Vice-Rector for Multilingual Development, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages ​​of the Law Faculty of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (cluster “Linguistics”);
  • Kuksa Irina Yuryevna – PhD in Philosophy, Associate Professor, Deputy Director of the Western Branch of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (cluster “Television and Journalism”);
  • Demchik Evgenia Valentinovna – PhD in History, Professor, Head of the Department of Russian History of the Altai State University (cluster “History”);
  • Shchukin Aleksandr Valentinovich – PhD, Associate Professor, Head of the Applied Informatics educational program, Associate Professor of the Higher School of Software Engineering of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (cluster “Information Technology”);
  • Borisova Irina Igorevna – PhD, Associate Professor, Head of the Strategic Development and Monitoring Department of Kozma Minin Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University (cluster “Management”);
  • Lukyanova Anna Aleksandrovna – Doctor of Economics, Professor, Vice-Rector for Educational Activities of the M.F. Reshetnev Siberian State University of Science and Technology (cluster “Economics”);
  • Krivov Sergey Valerievich – PhD, Associate Professor of the Political Science Department of the Institute of International Relations and World History of N.I. Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University (cluster “International Relations”).

At the end of the meeting, the Head of the accreditation department of the National Center for Professional and Public Accreditation of the Russian Federation, Petr Korotkov, presented the Rector of KNU Dogdurbek Chontoev with a certificate of passing the international external expert examination of KNU educational programs. He also thanked the First Vice-rector and Vice-rector for academic work Alaibek Shamshiev for the high level of organization of the commission’s work, as well as the staff of the academic department for direct support of the commission’s work. Petr Korotkov separately noted the work of the specialists of the academic department Gulnara Buzurmankulova and Nadezhda Khramtsova and presented them with letters of thanks. He also expressed gratitude to “the man who opened Kyrgyzstan for them”- the Director of the Independent Accreditation Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic “Bilim-Standard” Erik Esentaev.

Rector Dogdurbek Chontoev thanked the members of the External Expert Commission for their responsible approach to their duties, the large volume of work done, as well as for warm, friendly recommendations and noted that “This is only the beginning of a great deal of work. We set a goal to enter the TOP 1000 universities in the world by the end of 2025, and your recommendations will help us achieve this goal.” The meeting was attended by members of the EEC, the heads of the National University, heads of graduating departments, heads of educational programs and teachers.
