On April 25, 2025 Rector of the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn (KNU), Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev, held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Spain to Central Asia, Mr. Luis Francisco Martinez Montes (residence – Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan, with accreditation in the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan).
During the conversation, the parties discussed current issues of strengthening partnerships and expanding the range of cooperation in the field of education.
Rector of KNU Dogdurbek Chontoev thanked Mr. Ambassador for the visit and noted: “There are 45 students studying Spanish with interest at our university. Cooperation with the Embassy of Spain opens broad opportunities for both students and teachers of our university.”
In his turn, Mr. Luis Francisco Martinez Montes expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and emphasized the importance of further strengthening ties with one of the leading universities in Kyrgyzstan.
