On April 23, 2025 the International Scientific and Practical Conference: “Global Economic Processes Management System: Challenges and Development Prospects” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of KNU and the 30th anniversary of the Kyrgyz-European Faculty (KEF), was held in the smart classroom of the main building.
The Rector of KNU, Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev, delivered welcoming speech at the event. He noted that “these two significant dates are not just a reason for celebration, but an important symbol of continuity, growth and international recognition of our university. KEF has become a unique educational platform where the knowledge obtained in Kyrgyzstan is harmoniously complemented by European academic experience.”
Vice-Rector for Science Kamchybek uulu Myrzabek congratulated KEF on its 30th anniversary, noting that the faculty paved the way for Europe, and also emphasized that it is very important to report on achievements to the home country and set new benchmarks!
A special moment was the presentation of diplomas to the graduate of the double degree program Asel Samsakova, who successfully completed her studies at both KNU and the University of Poitiers (France). The diploma of the Kyrgyz National University was personally presented by the Rector of KNU, Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev, and the diploma of the French university was presented by Honorary Professor of KNU, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor of the University of Poitiers Philippe Rozhon.
As the ceremonial part, the best students of the faculty were awarded with certificates of honor.
The Conference was held in a hybrid format, bringing together scientists and experts from Kyrgyzstan, France, Kazakhstan and Russia. The following delivered informative reports:
- Nusupov Cholponbay Tokbaevich – leading specialist of the Ontology department of the Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Doctor of Philosophy, professor;
- Nusupova Saikal Cholponbaevna – Kyrgyz State University named after I. Arabaev, senior lecturer;
- Musina Amina Amirzhanovna – Doctor of Economics, professor, ESIL University, Finance Department. Astana, Kazakhstan;
- Molodtsov Igor Nikolaevich – Head of the Department of Mass Communications and Media Business, Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation;
- Shayahmetova Kulshariya Orakpaevna – Doctor of Economics, professor, ESIL University, Astana, Kazakhstan;
- Travkina Elena Vladimirovna – Doctor of Economics, professor of the Department of Banking and Monetary Regulation, Faculty of Finance, Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation;
- Marina Aleksandrovna Selivanova – PhD in Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Insurance and Social Economics of the Finance Faculty of the Finance University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
The leading teachers of the Kyrgyz-European Faculty of KNU also enriched the Conference with their scientific developments and reports.
The anniversary event became not only an academic forum, but also a symbol of sustainable development of international partnership in education and science.
This event was organized on the initiative of the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, PhD in Economics, Professor Anara Kamalovna Kamalova. The organizers of the conference were:

- Muralieva Jyldyz Amangeldievna – Senior Lecturer, Coordinator of the Double Degree Program;
- Sharshembieva Farizat Kuseyinovna – Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor, Chairman of Educational and Methodology Commission of KEF;
Students of the KEF as active assistants and participants.
The Conference became a vivid example of successful international cooperation and academic exchange, confirming the importance of KEF as one of the leaders in the training of competitive specialists.
