On November 25-26, 2025 the Central Asian University of Uzbekistan (Tashkent) will host a large-scale event in higher education – the first QS Eurasia Forum 2025. The event is organized by international expert QS Quacquarelli Symonds, the compiler of the authoritative QS World University Rankings.
Participating in the Forum will be Alaybek Shamshiev, First Vice-Rector and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at KNU, and Kubanychbek Jumabekov, Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of KNU.
The Forum will address the following issues:
- Strategies for the development and interaction of global universities, both within the Asian region and globally;
- Increasing the visibility of universities in Eurasia and beyond;
- Enhancing the role of higher education in Eurasia in connecting East and West;
- QS ranking performance indicators, etc.
As part of the QS Eurasia Forum 2025, First Vice-Rector and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs A.B. Shamshiev signed a Memorandum of Understanding between Sumgayit State University (Azerbaijan) and Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn and met with representatives of higher education institutions in Eurasia and the British company Quacquarelli Semonds (QS). The meetings were of a creative and working nature.
