On November 20, 2025 Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev, Rector of Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, received representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), led by Mr. Ueda Takufumi, Senior Advisor of the Private Sector Development Group of the JICA Economic Development Department.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed the current activities of the KRJC and discussed JICA’s mission to prepare the next phase of the entrepreneurship capacity development and networking project through the Kyrgyz-Japan Human Development Center (KRJC), scheduled to launch in July 2026. To proceed to the next phase of the project, it is necessary to sign the Minutes of Meetings (MM) upon completion of the Minutes of Meetings (MM), which is a necessary step for the subsequent signing of the Minutes of Discussions (MD), the main document defining the framework for the next phase of the project. The meeting was also attended by Junior Expert of the Private Sector Development Group of the JICA Department of Economic Development Ms. Nomoto Haruka, Development Program Specialist Almaz Zhumagulov, as well as Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Relations of the Kyrgyz National University Bakyt Keldibekov, Director of the KRJC from the Kyrgyz side Almazbek Azimov, and Chief of Staff of the Kyrgyz National University Dooron Kubatbekov.
