On November 14, 2025 Myrzabek Kamchybek uulu, Vice-Rector for Research at Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, met with Antonello De Riu, Ambassador of Italy to Kyrgyzstan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for further cooperation in education, science, and cultural exchange. The Italian side proposed initiatives aimed at strengthening academic ties, expanding student and faculty exchange programs, and organizing joint cultural and scientific events.
The Vice-Rector of KNU expressed deep gratitude for the visit and noted that this day was an important step toward establishing a close and long-term partnership between the university and Italian educational and diplomatic institutions.
The meeting was also attended by Andrea Crisafulli – Director of the Italian Institute of Culture; Maria Bespalova – Honorary Consul of Italy in the Kyrgyz Republic; Bakyt Keldibekov – Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Relations at KNU; Shafika Suleimanova – Dean of the Faculty of Biology and others.
