On October 30–31, 2025 the International Forum of Strategic Partners “Kazakhstan – Territory of Academic Education” was held in Astana. Vice-Rector for Regional Affairs Kunduzgul Bazakeeva participated in the Forum. Participation in the Forum allowed KNU to strengthen its partnerships with international universities, discuss prospects for joint educational programs and academic mobility for students and faculty, and identify new areas of cooperation in science and innovation.
The Forum brought together representatives of leading domestic and foreign universities, international organizations, and research centers.
In his address, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the key role of the higher education system in the country’s intellectual and technological development.
The Forum discussed current issues related to the development of higher education and science, strengthening international cooperation, increasing academic mobility, and implementing innovative educational programs. The event was attended by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, rectors of leading foreign and domestic universities, and representatives of international organizations.
As part of this trip, on November 1, 2025, K.Zh. Bazakeeva met with KNU students studying at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. During the meeting, the Vice-Rector discussed academic performance, living conditions, and student life, and answered students’ questions.
