This was discussed on September 24, 2025 at a meeting between the Rector of the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn (KNU), Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev, and Mr. Yun Jieng, an employee of the International Cooperation Department of Kemyeong University (KMU) in Daegu, South Korea.
Dogdurbek Chontoev emphasized that cooperation between the two universities is progressing and achieving positive results.
In turn, Mr. Yun Jieng said that educational ties have expanded, and active cooperation will continue to be strengthened.
After the meeting, the Director of the Institute of Computer Technologies and Artificial Intelligence, Amantur Ryspaev, introduced the visiting representatives to the renovated classrooms. New modern computers and panels will be installed in these classrooms. “Such equipment will allow students and teachers to deepen their understanding of artificial intelligence,” the director of the ICTAI said.
Head of the Department for International Cooperation and Relations Baktybek Keldibekov noted that cooperation with the University of Kemyeong is developing steadily and announced that a digital center will be opened soon.
It should be noted that Kemyeong University and the National University cooperate in the field of information technologies within the framework of the 7-year LUPIC project. In addition, Kemyeong University also organizes special scholarships for students of the National University.
