On September 23, 2025 Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev, Rector of Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, received a delegation from the China Association for International Exchange (CAFIU), led by its Vice President, Mr. Ai-Ping.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the development and deepening of cooperation between KNU and CAFIU in science and education, academic experience in inter-university collaboration, and internships. It was emphasized that the National University has accumulated extensive experience in translating educational materials from Chinese.
The delegation then met with staff of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Institute, where they discussed initiatives from both sides, as well as the development and dissemination of Sinology and educational materials. The meeting was also attended by: Xiao Ningning – Deputy Secretary General of CAFIU, Tong Yongchun – Senior Researcher of CAFIU, Jiao Qiang – Third Secretary of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Kazakhstan, Yan Ling – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President and Secretary General of the Shaanxi Provincial Charity Organization, Zhou Jiaxing – Director of the Department of External Relations of the China Charity Alliance, Zhang Yinjun – Founder and President of the Beijing Changier Educational Foundation, Jin Lingying – Member of the Board of the Beijing Changier Educational Foundation, and others, as well as Baktybek Keldibekov – Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Relations of KNU, Sofia Apaeva – Director of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Research Institute of KNU, Chyngyz Uzakbaev — Director of the International Institute of Medicine and Science of KNU, Dooron Kubatbek uulu — Chief of Staff of the Rector’s Office of KNU, Ulugbek Eresheev — Head of the SCO Research Center of the KCII, Moldobaeva Aisuluu – Head of the PhD and Master’s programs of the KCII and Baktygulov Sheradil – Head of the Research Department of the KCII.
