On March 10, 2025 Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Mirlan Dyldaev received Mr. Tatsuno Bunri, Vice-President of Kokushikan University of Japan, and Mr. Ootaka Toshio, Director of the International Center.

During the meeting the parties discussed issues of cooperation between the two universities. Mirlan Dyldaev thanked the Japanese guests for teaching KNU students and invited them to the conference which is to be held on April 3-4 and to the event dedicated to 100th anniversary of the National University in October.

Mr. Tatsuno Bunri thanked the Vice-Rector for the warm welcome and noted that the students of the National University, unlike Japanese students, work very hard and study well.

According to the Department of International Cooperation and Relations, the National University has been cooperating with Kokushikan University since 2006. To date, 12 students from KNU have gone to Kokushikan University for a 1-year study program and received free education, while 4 students from Kokushikan University have completed a 6-month internship at KNU. This year, 1 student from KNU has gone for a 1-year study program too.
