On March 7, 2025 in the Small Conference Hall of the main building, Japanese expert in industrial development Gaku Funabashi held a seminar for students and teachers of KNU, where he shared unique knowledge about how Japan achieved high results in production and management.

The lecturer covered such topics as “How to increase labor productivity and add value”, “What is behind the success of giants like Toyota”. Particular attention was paid to Japanese management, the management system and the concept of “kaizen”, which in practice help companies significantly improve their efficiency.

Students asked questions actively, exchanged their opinions and even took selfies with the expert, which added even more positiveness to the atmosphere of the event. At the end of the lecture, all the present thanked the speaker with thunderous applause for an interesting and useful lesson.

The Vice-Rector for Investments of KNU Gulbara Sydykova emphasized in her speech that such meetings with world experts are an excellent opportunity for students to broaden their horizons and gain knowledge that will help them in the future, be it a career or their own business. She noted that students, already at the start of their professional life, can use the knowledge they have gained to implement their entrepreneurial ideas.

Active participants of the seminar received certificates confirming their involvement and desire for development. This seminar became another important milestone on KNU’s path to educational innovations and international cooperation.
