On May 26, 2026 Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev, Rector of Kyrgyz National University, met with Mr. Wang Bing, Director of the Eurasian Bureau of Chinese Media Organizations CMG, CCTV, and CGTN.
During the meeting, parties exchanged views on strengthening information and cultural ties between the two institutions. They discussed events on Kyrgyz-Chinese relations previously held at the National University, as well as the organization and conduct of forums of international significance, as Kyrgyzstan is chairing the Shanghai Cooperation Organization this year.
Rector of KNU noted that various events in science and education, including international forums within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, are useful and interesting for students and young scholars at the National University.
Shirin Kostyuk, Director of the Institute of Journalism and Communications, also attended the meeting. She discussed the activities of her institute, future plans for staff development, and discussed the exchange of experience in the media field.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to develop mutually beneficial initiatives and further deepen cooperation.
