On February 23, 2026 Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev, Rector of Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, received a delegation from Keimyung University in Daegu, South Korea, led by Professor Ju Hong-taek, Director of the LUPIC project.

Dogdurbek Chontoev noted that, thanks to the support of Mr. Shin Il-hee, President of Keimyung University, the two universities have recently established good relations: within the framework of the LUPIC project, they are fruitfully collaborating in the fields of information technology and artificial intelligence, computer labs have been created, and Keimyung University specialists are providing excellent technical support. “Therefore, we need to further advance our cooperation. As the head of the National University, I will fully support this collaboration,” concluded the Rector of KNU.

Professor Ju Hong-taek, Director of the LUPIC project, thanked Dogdurbek Chontoev for the warm welcome, introduced the members of the delegation, and briefly discussed the purpose of his visit to KNU. He also announced that Keimyung University will send volunteers to KNU this summer.

Also attending the meeting were artificial intelligence specialists Professors Deok-woo Lee and Yo-han Kim, Lupic Project manager Eun-ji Lee, exchange student from Keimyung University Lee Jae-sung, as well as Bakyt Keldibekov, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Relations, and Amantur Ryspayev, Director of the Institute of Computer Technology and Artificial Intelligence.
