On February 19, 2026 Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev, Rector of Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, held an official meeting with Professor Adalat Jalal oglu Muradov, Rector of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics.
During the meeting, the parties discussed expanding cooperation in higher education, developing academic mobility, and implementing joint educational programs.
Following the meeting, an agreement was signed between the two universities to implement a dual degree program in financial management. This program will allow students to obtain an international education by earning degrees from both universities.
On the same day, KNU delegation participated in the exhibition “Start with Knowledge, Continue with Creativity, Conquer the Heights with Success!”, organized by students of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics, and learned about the students’ research and creative projects.
The meeting marked an important step toward further strengthening educational and scientific cooperation between the two universities.
