On August 10, 2025 the First Vice-Rector of the Kyrgyz National University and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Alaybek Shamshiev received Mr. Sayit Yusuf, Deputy Secretary General of the Turksoy International Organization.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the preliminary program of the 2nd World Meeting of Turkic Youth, planned for the second half of October this year, and made decisions on some related issues.
Mr. Sayit Yusuf thanked the leadership of the KNU for the warm welcome of the Turksoy representatives despite the weekend, and noted that the 1st World Meeting of Turkic Youth was held last year at the al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, and this time the meeting is planned to be held at Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn under the slogan “The Future is You!” and that the event will be attended by representatives of the youth of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, as well as representatives of the youth of Hungary, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and Moldova. According to him, the purpose of the meeting is to ensure the acquaintance and communication of young people of Turkish origin, who will become the leaders and guides of the future, as well as to develop joint ideas for finding ways to solve various problems in the countries where they live.
The First Vice-Rector of the Kyrgyz National University and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Alaybek Shamshiev presented Mr. Sayit Yusuf with an official letter confirming the readiness of the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn to hold the event in collaboration with the Turksoy International Organization. The meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Myrzabek Kamchybek uulu, Chairman of the United Trade Union Committee Kubanychbek Jumabekov, and Head of the Department of Academic Mobility, Education Export and Sectoral Master’s Degree Saadat Shermatova.
