From February 17 to 21, 2025 a delegation of the Kyrgyz-European Faculty, consisting of Dean Kamalova A.K., Head of the Economics and Management Program Rachkovskaya I.N., Deputy Dean for International Relations Bektasheva L. J., Deputy Dean for Academic and Methodological Work Sharshembieva F.K., Deputy Dean for Research, Teacher of French Dubova Yu.S., Senior Teacher of French Muralieva J.A., visited Poitiers (France) within the framework of the Erasmus+ Staffweek program “Advanced Training for Faculty”.

The program entitled “Inclusion of People with Disabilities in Schools and Universities” was held under the leadership of the Erasmus+ project coordinator, Professor Licia Bagini and Honorary Professor of KNU, Professor of the University of Poitiers Philippe Rojon.

The professional development week consisted of several blocks, including presentations by representatives of the University of Poitiers management of inclusive programs implemented at the university, master classes on improving digital literacy, visits to the university library, the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Linguistics and Philology, the Faculty of Sports Sciences, the hall of stagecraft and amateur performances of students with disabilities, and sports halls.

In addition, program participants from different countries: Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan presented projects for the implementation of inclusive programs in their countries. Dean of the Kyrgyz-European Faculty Kamalova A.K. presented about programs and measures to improve the accessibility of education without restrictions and barriers.

KEF teachers also visited students of the Kyrgyz-European Faculty who were sent to the University of Poitiers under the Double Diploma program, got acquainted with the living and studying conditions. It is worth noting that the university creates a very comfortable environment for foreign students, for individual work with students they are provided with a mentor.

Kamalova A.K. in a conversation with the management of the University of Poitiers, emphasized the continuity of the Kyrgyz-European Faculty on the inclusive education program and outlined the importance of further steps to achieve equality in education for all.

Following the week of advanced training, teachers received international certificates. Dean Kamalova A.K. proposed holding a round table at KEF on inclusiveness issues and sharing the experience gained with the scientific community of Kyrgyzstan.
