On June 26, 2026 the opening ceremony of 23 new A-frame cottages was held at the “Universitet” boarding house of the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, located in the village of Bosteri, Issyk-Kul region.
The event was attended by more than 60 university leaders, teachers and staff, led by Rector Dogdurbek Chontoev.
The Rector congratulated the participants of the meeting on the start of the summer vacation season and noted that the new A-frame cottages opened today are another important step towards creating comfortable conditions for improving the health of teachers and staff and developing infrastructure. The Rector also thanked each employee who contributed to the implementation of this project and said, “I declare the summer vacation season on the shores of our beloved Issyk-Kul and the doors of the new 23 cottages open.”
Following speeches by the university’s vice-rectors and veterans, ceremony participants were introduced to the new cottages.
