On June 20, 2026, Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev, Rector of the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, attended a book presentation by renowned Chinese writer and Nobel Prize laureate in Literature Mo Yan, as well as prominent Azerbaijani writers Anar Rasul Oglu Rzayev and Andrey Kakharovich Reizvikh. The presentation took place at the state residence in Cholpon-Ata as part of the anniversary Issyk-Kul Forum.
During the event, the rector presented Mr. Mo Yan with the diploma of «Honorary Professor of the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn» for his significant contribution to the development of international cooperation between the People’s Republic of China and the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as to strengthening partnerships in education and science.
In his speech, the Nobel laureate expressed deep gratitude for the prestigious award and noted the importance of developing cultural and literary ties.
