On April 21, 2026 Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev, Rector of Kyrgyz National University, met with a delegation from the University of Poitiers, France, led by Professor Philippe Rogeon.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the two universities’ long-standing strategic partnership, exchange of experience, mutual visits, and the cultural and humanitarian ties established within this partnership.
The Rector of Kyrgyz National University noted the successful implementation of the dual degree program and stated that this initiative would significantly contribute to the further strengthening of cooperation.
In turn, representatives of the University of Poitiers thanked KNU leadership for the warm welcome, mentioning that they had already lectured to students at the National University and were familiar with Kyrgyz youth. They also noted the sustainable development of academic ties.
Following the meeting, the parties signed a bilateral memorandum on continued cooperation.
