On November 30, 2025 Kanybek Tumanbayev, Head of the Presidential Property Management Department of the Kyrgyz Republic, inspected the construction of a 16-story academic building and dormitory at Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, which is being built on the Order of President Sadyr Japarov.
The President places special emphasis on education.
From the very first day, the Head of State identified education as a priority and, in recent years, ensured the successful completion of all schools across the country, which had been under construction for many years.
Kanybek Tumanbayev noted that modernizing the educational infrastructure is of strategic importance for the country’s future and emphasized that, with the President’s strong support, major projects in this area are being actively implemented.
The 16-stored complex under construction offers the following extensive facilities:
- modern classrooms and laboratories;
- a dormitory for undergraduate and graduate students;
- a museum, library, and a large conference hall;
- rooms for teachers and foreign specialists;
- an observatory, a greenhouse, sports and medical buildings;
- a special room for employees’ children.
K. Tumanbayev received information from the contractor and relevant agencies about the construction quality, safety requirements, and progress of the project, and issued instructions for the timely and efficient resolution of specific issues.
