From December 15 to 18, 2024 the Rector of KNU Dogdurbek Chontoev, at the invitation of the President of Hanbat National University (Daejeon, Republic of Korea), Mr. Yeong Jun, visited the above-mentioned university and took part in the II International Symposium “Innovations in higher education”.
The event was also attended by representatives of universities in the USA, Canada, Central Asia and East Asia.
The plenary session of the International Symposium was opened by the President of the Hanbat National University, Mr. Yeong Jun, who then gave the word to the Rector of the Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn, Mr. Dogdurbek Chontoev.
The Rector thanked the leadership of the National University of Hanbat for the invitation and noted that it was a great honor for him to represent KNU. He said, “We live in an era of change, where digitization and technology play a decisive role. Our main task is to unite efforts to create flexible educational systems that can effectively meet the requirements of the time and the needs of the labor market. I am confident that the exchange of knowledge and experience that will take place at this symposium will allow us to jointly develop and implement innovative approaches to education. I wish all participants fruitful work, interesting discussions and new perspective ideas.”
After, the representatives of universities from the USA, Canada, countries of Central Asia and East Asia gave presentations on the topic.
Within the framework of the International Symposium, Dogdurbek Chontoev held a meeting with the President of Hanbat National University, Mr. Yeong Jun, during which an agreement was reached on increasing the contingent of KNU students who will study under the academic mobility program at Hanbat University in the next academic year, up to 10 bachelor students, and up to 5 students in the magistracy. Education, accommodation and three meals a day will be free for students.
After the completion of the work, the participants of the International Symposium were given a tour on scientific institutions of Daejeon city, namely: Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology, Research Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications, and Korea Institute of Astronomy and Space Sciences. Bakyt Keldibekov, Director of the Department for International Cooperation and Relations, also took part in the trip to Hanbat National University.
