On October 10, 2025 Rector of Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev received Eduardo Enrique Hernández Recinos, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Guatemala to the Kyrgyz Republic.
The two sides discussed the development of collaborative relations and the exchange of experience between students and faculty. They also discussed organizing online lectures on Central Asian studies, including Kyrgyzstan, and exploring opportunities to become better acquainted with the two countries.
Following the meeting, the two sides agreed to further strengthen sectoral cooperation between the two countries.
Following this, Ambassador Eduardo Enrique Hernández Recinos gave a guest lecture on the state of Guatemala to students of the Faculty of International Relations and Oriental Studies.
