On August 29, 2025 Vice-Rector for Research of the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn Myrzabek Kamchybek uulu met with the delegation of the Institute of International Cultural Exchange of Xinjiang Normal University (SNU) headed by its Director Mr. Deng Xin.
Myrzabek Kamchybek uulu warmly welcomed the members of the SNU delegation on behalf of the Rector of the KNU, Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev, and noted that the visit of the delegation of one of the leading pedagogical universities of China – Xinjiang Normal University – is an important step in the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of education, science and culture. According to him, the Kyrgyz National University, as the oldest and largest higher educational institution of the Kyrgyz Republic, attaches particular importance to international partnership, especially with its closest neighbors and friends. He went on to say — “Our nations are united by common historical roots, cultural ties and centuries-old neighborhood, and we sincerely believe that this should be reflected in the field of education. We consider strengthening ties between pedagogical universities to be especially relevant. After all, it is education that shapes the future, and our common task today is to prepare a new generation of young specialists who can think broadly, understand the value of diversity and build bridges between countries. Welcome and we are glad to see you in Bishkek, at the Jusup Balasagyn KNU!”
Director of the Institute of International Cultural Exchange of the SNU Mr. Deng Xin thanked the Vice-rector for the warm welcome, introduced the members of the delegation and noted that the KNU and the SNU understand each other well, as they have been cooperating for many years. “The mission of our institute is to teach foreign students the Chinese language,” he continued. “There are many foreign students at our institute, including ones from Kyrgyzstan. The purpose of our visit is to conduct a survey among our graduates and find out how much the Chinese language helps them in their work, and what requirements employers have for the level of Chinese language proficiency, so that we can better prepare specialists taking these requirements into account.”
During the meeting, an exchange of views and discussion of various areas of cooperation between the two universities in the field of education, science and culture took place.
The meeting was also attended by: Professor Yin Xiaorong, PhD Dr. Yu Xinjie, PhD Dr. Yu Lu, Nurzhamal Isamidinova, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Relations of KNU Bakyt Keldibekov, Director of the Confucius Institute of KNU from the Chinese side Jia Jingfang, Director of the Confucius Institute of KNU from the Kyrgyz side Zhyldyz Usenbaeva, Head of the Department of Academic Mobility, Education Export and Network Master’s Degree of KNU Saadat Shermatova, and Assistant to the Rector of KNU Adis Rysbekov.
