Today, on June 20, 2025 the Rector of the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev held a press conference on the occasion of the inclusion of KNU in the world ranking QS WUR.
Kyrgyz National University entered the world ranking QS World University Rankings (QS WUR), taking 1234th place. About 24 thousand universities from 106 countries participated in this ranking, of which only 8 thousand were selected and published.
During the press conference, the Rector noted that KNU achieved this major success in the shortest possible time and without significant financial costs, mainly due to cooperation with reputable foreign universities, transparency of management and activity in scientific publications, according to 10 main criteria of the ranking.
This event became a confirmation of the growth of the international prestige of KNU.
