On November 22, 2024 the II Startup Festival “KNU InnoFest-2024” organized by the Investment Department was held.
A fair was organized in the entrance hall of the main building, where startup teams demonstrated their projects at stands. The fair also featured stands of sponsors: OJSC Aiyl Bank, the international organization “Accelerate Prosperity Kyrgyzstan”, OJSC “KyrgyzIndustry”, and the fair was supported by “Toibos” LLC and “Abdysh Ata” LLC with a presentation and tasting of their products. The Youth Committee of KNU organized musical performances during the fair.
At the official part of the competition, welcoming speeches were delivered by: the Rector of KNU Dogdurbek Chontoev, Chairman of the Board of OJSC Aiyl Bank Tilek Alimzhanov, Vice President of OJSC Kyrgyzindustry Shamil Boronchiev, Chief Specialist of the Innovation and Strategic Development Department of the State Agency for Intellectual Property and Innovation (Kyrgyzpatent) Kubanychbek Bektashev, and Public Relations Specialist of the NGO “Accelerate Prosperity Kyrgyzstan” Baytik Makanbaev.
Then, the startup teams demonstrated their projects to the jury, which included: Vice-Rector for Investments of KNU Gulbara Sydykova (Chairman), Chairman of the Board of OJSC Aiyl Bank Tilek Alimzhanov, Chief Specialist of Kyrgyzpatent Kubanychbek Bektashev, Vice-President of OJSC Kyrgyzindustry Shamil Boronchiev and Public Relations Specialist of the NGO “Accelerate Prosperity Kyrgyzstan” Baytik Makanbaev.
The main sponsor of the event was OJSC Aiyl Bank, whose invaluable contribution made it possible to successfully organize such a large-scale and significant event and became a key factor in the success of the startup festival-competition. We also express our deep gratitude to the management of OJSC Kyrgyzindustry, our second major sponsor, who made a significant contribution by presenting valuable gifts of their own production – a laptop and a printer and offering startups the joint implementation of some selected projects. The startup competitors who won prizes were further inspired by valuable prizes from our sponsor, the international organization “Accelerate Prosperity Kyrgyzstan”, which became an important incentive for their further development. The representative of Kyrgyzpatent promised to support the startup runners the process of obtaining a patent. The best projects were awarded cash and valuable prizes from the sponsors. We believe that due to the high professionalism of the jury, the selection was transparent.
Thus, the following awards were determined:
The main prize goes to the project “Embroidery in different technologies”, 40,000 soms, the Department of Preschool, School Pedagogy and Educational Technologies of the Institute of Targeted Training of Pedagogical Personnel named after I.Ch. Isamidinov, leader – Ainagul Otorbekova, team: Satybekova G., Dzhumagazieva A., Keldibekova A..
1st prize – project “Glasses” — 30,000 soms, Faculty of Biology, leader – Myrzabekova U.D., team members: Torobekov N., Abdyldaeva Zh., Maksutova Sh.
2nd prize – project “Electrodynamics” — 20,000 soms, faculty of Economics, head – Khalikova A.A. , team members: Sydygaliev B., Karaev S., Kan K.
Two 3rd places were awarded to the following projects:
- “Zhatta” — 15,000 soms, faculty of Adverticement and Public Relations, supervisor – Abdimalikova A.A., team members: Maksimovich N., Mertin R.
- “Nukura” — 15,000 soms, faculty of UKMP, supervisor — Namazbekova Zh., team members: Muratbek kyzy F., Seitbekova M.
The jury also awarded two prizes for special innovative ideas to the following teams:
