On October 3, 2024 the Rector Dogdurbek Chontoev received 3rd-year students of Beijing Foreign Studies University in the field of “Russian Language and Literature” who arrived at the Academy of Languages of KNU for 1 year under the academic mobility program.
“Dear Rector, agai, salamatsyzby,” the students of BFSU began their speech with traditional Kyrgyz greeting. “At Beijing Foreign Studies University, we studied Russian for 8 years, and Kyrgyz for 2 years. We love Kyrgyzstan very much and we are very pleased to meet you!”
Dogdurbek Chontoev noted that the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn is considered the flagship of universities in Kyrgyzstan, where 30 thousand students study and 3 thousand teachers and staff work. “I wish that you receive good knowledge at our university during the year, and that this knowledge will help you in your future career, and that you will have only positive impressions from your stay in Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek and the National University. I wish you success and good luck in all your endeavors,” concluded the Rector of KNU.
To the parting words of the Rector, the Chinese students responded in unison: “Chon rahmat!”
