QS Quacquarelli Symonds has published the results of the QS World University Rankings 2027, one of the most authoritative global instruments for assessing the performance of higher education institutions.

«Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn has re-entered the global rankings, maintaining its position in the 1201-1400 range of the QS World University Rankings 2027, confirming its status as one of the leading universities in the Kyrgyz Republic. This result reflects the university’s systematic and persistent efforts to improve the quality of education, develop research, strengthen international cooperation, and enhance its academic reputation.»

According to the ranking, the QS World University Rankings 2027 assessed 8,808 universities from 106 countries and territories. Ninety-eight higher education institutions entered the rankings for the first time.

The research component of the QS rankings is based on a comprehensive analysis of international data. More than 21 million scientific publications and over 222 million citations were reviewed to prepare the rankings. One of the key indicators of the rankings remains the reputational assessment of universities by the global academic and professional community. In 2027, approximately 1.6 million academics and 600,000 employers participated in the QS research, making the rankings one of the most comprehensive international studies in higher education.
The Kyrgyz Republic maintains a stable presence in the global academic community. Five Kyrgyz universities are featured in the QS World University Rankings 2027, confirming the development of the national higher education system and its integration into the international educational space.
