On June 12, 2026 Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev, Rector of Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn (KNU), received a delegation from the Shanghai University of Politics and Law (SUPL), led by Ge Weihua, Secretary of the University’s Party Committee, who arrived to participate in the Forum of the Association of Law Schools of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation between the two universities in education and research.
Also attending the meeting were Shen Xiaochen, Deputy Director of the SUPL Party and Administrative Office; Cao Junjin, Professor of the Institute of International Law; Wang Huibo, Director of the Faculty Relations Department; Baktybek Keldibekov, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Relations of KNU; and Kynatbek Smanaliev, Director of the Law Institute.
