On April 23, 2026 the Kyrgyz-European Faculty held the grand opening of a new French room, aimed at developing linguistic and academic cooperation with France.
The opening ceremony was attended by Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev, Rector of Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn; Nicolas Faye, Ambassador of France to the Kyrgyz Republic; a delegation from the University of Poitiers (France); and faculty members from the Kyrgyz-European Faculty.
The distinguished guests emphasized the significance of this event for strengthening educational and cultural ties between the Kyrgyz Republic and France.
The opening of the French room will be an important step in expanding opportunities for students studying French and will contribute to the further development of the faculty’s international cooperation.









On the same day, a ceremony was held to present double diplomas to graduates of the Kyrgyz-European Faculty of Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn and the University of Poitiers (France).
The event was attended by Dogdurbek Chontoev, Rector of Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn; Nicolas Faye, Ambassador of France to the Kyrgyz Republic; a delegation from the University of Poitiers (France); and teaching staff and students of the faculty. The distinguished guests delivered welcoming speeches, noting the importance of joint educational programs and the high level of preparation of the graduates.
During the ceremony, the graduates were awarded diplomas from both countries – France and the Kyrgyz Republic – which open broad opportunities for their further professional and academic development.
KEF Dean M.A. Nukeeva, parents, and graduates also offered congratulatory remarks, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to participate in this international educational program.
As a token of appreciation and to strengthen the partnership, the French delegation received commemorative gifts. A highlight of the event was the awarding of a medal to Professor Philippe Rojon of the University of Poitiers, commemorating the centenary of the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn.
The ceremony concluded with a concert program, a vibrant continuation of the festivities.
