On February 19, 2026 Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev, Rector of Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, met with Muzhdat Hasanov, Director of the International Cooperation Department of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
At the meeting, issues related to expanding inter-university cooperation within the framework of the QS international ranking system, developing academic ties, and strengthening bilateral partnerships were discussed.
The parties expressed interest in promoting joint initiatives in education and science.
Nuriza Musayeva, a member of the KNU delegation and Director of the Higher School of Economics, also attended the meeting.
