On April 4, 2025 International Scientific Conference “Development of Science and Education in the Context of Globalization and Digital Transformation” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Jusup Balasagyn Kyrgyz National University was held at the Digital Technologies Center. The event brought together more than 170 participants from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, China, Japan, South Korea, Germany, as well as representatives of the scientific and educational community, including scientists, researchers and teachers, who discussed key up-to-date issues in the field of science and education.

The goal of the Conference was to create an effective platform for discussing the latest research and approaches in the context of globalization and digitalization. During the Conference, participants touched upon relevant topics such as the role of artificial intelligence in the development of science and education, modern research and prospects of Kyrgyz philology, digitalization of the Kyrgyz language, cultural and linguistic interactions in a multipolar world, current issues of linguistics and intercultural communication, as well as the integration of Kyrgyzstan into the global information, educational and digital space.

The Conference was opened by the Rector of KNU, Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev, who noted the importance of the anniversary year of the university for the scientific community of Kyrgyzstan and the global educational space. Also with welcoming speeches were: Deputy Director of the High-Tech Park of the Kyrgyz Republic Chubak Temirov, Secretary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Professor of the Shanghai University of Politics and Law Ms. Ren Shanshan, Director of the International Office of Korea Mr. Kim Seok-Chol, Director of the International Center of Kokushikan University Ms. Sunada Erika and former Director of the Center for International Exchange, Professor of the Department of Science and Technology of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Member of Society of mechanical engineers of Japan Mr. Ootaka Toshio.

In the plenary part of the Conference, the participants listened to several scientific reports, including speeches by such famous scientists as Mamed Tagaev (Chairman of the Society of Kyrgyz Teachers of Russian language and Literature — OKPRYAL, Professor of the B. Yeltsin Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University), Natalia Perfilieva (Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the P. Lumumba Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia — RUDN), Pavel Pankov (Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic) and Zinat Kadyrova (Leading Specialist of the National Commission on the State Language and Language Policy under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic). Their research covered the topics of artificial intelligence, linguistics and digitalization of language, as well as new prospects for education and science in the context of digital technologies.

The Conference also discussed issues of developing and maintaining scientific ties between countries and universities. The conference participants emphasized the importance of further strengthening cooperation with leading universities in Russia, China, Japan, South Korea and Germany, as well as the importance of creating a single educational space.

Following the event, a resolution was adopted in which the participants expressed their readiness to continue working together to develop scientific and educational programs, strengthen interdisciplinary research, and exchange scientific publications. Particular attention was paid to the importance of organizing international scientific events dedicated to the anniversaries of higher education institutions, which contributes to a deeper understanding of the contribution of university education to the cultural and historical development of society. The conference participants noted the high level of organization of the event, held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, as well as the importance of continuing cooperation with universities and scientific institutions in different countries.
