On March 15, 2025 a ceremony to sign agreements on higher education between a number of higher education institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic and the People’s Republic of China was held in the conference hall of the Hyatt Regency Bishkek hotel.
The participants of the meeting were congratulated by the Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Kyrgyz Republic, Liu Jianping.
The event was attended by the Rector of the Kyrgyz National University, Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev, who signed the following documents:
- A memorandum of cooperation between Xi’an University of Petroleum of the People’s Republic of China and the Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn;
- An agreement between the Northwestern University of the People’s Republic of China and the Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn;
- An agreement on cooperation between the Shaanxi University of Technology of the People’s Republic of China and the Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn.
The Kyrgyzstan-China Higher Education Forum, which discussed the future of cooperation in the field of education, made a significant contribution to strengthening scientific ties between the two countries.
