On December 2, 2024 Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Mestnikov Sergey Vasilyevich visited KNU. The distinguished guest from the largest subject of the Russian Federation was met by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Mirlan Dyldaev and given a tour of the main building.
Then, a meeting with the Rector of KNU Dogdurbek Chontoev was held in the meeting room of the administration.
The Rector briefly spoke about the National University and noted that KNU has been cooperating as a partner with the North-Eastern Federal University named after M.K. Ammosov for several years within the framework of the project “New Interuniversity Space of Eurasian Scientific and Educational Integration”. Thus, in December 2023, a joint scientific and practical conference dedicated to the outstanding political and public figure Maxim Kirovich Ammosov was held at KNU, and on October 15 of this year, the Center for the Study and Preservation of the Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Central and North Asia was opened at the Institute of History and Regional Studies. “Taking this opportunity, I would like to invite you to the anniversary events on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of our university, which we plan to hold in October next year,” said Dogdurbek Chontoev.
Sergey Mestnikov thanked the leadership of KNU for the warm welcome and briefly spoke about the working visit of the Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Aisen Nikolayev to Kyrgyzstan and his meeting with the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov. “During this meeting, a decision was made to hold the Days of Yakutia Culture in Kyrgyzstan next year. I am sure that we will closely cooperate with your university within the framework of this event and our acquaintance will continue,” concluded the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
The Rector of KNU noted that KNU is ready to provide every assistance and become a co-organizer in holding such an important event.
