On January 14, 2025 the Rector of KNU, Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev, received Ms. Miho Seike, Associate Professor of the School of Higher Sciences and Engineering of Hiroshima University.
Environmental safety, including the safety of electric cars using lithium batteries, was discussed at the meeting, and issues of cooperation between the two universities to conduct scientific research in this field were discussed.
Mrs. Miho Seike noted that this research requires a lot of funds, therefore, this project will be given to the program called SATREPS (Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development), which requires multilateral cooperation, and invited the National University to become a partner in the implementation of the project.
Dogdurbek Chontoev thanked the representative of Hiroshima University for choosing the National University and expressed his support for the mentioned project as the head of the National University and expressed his readiness to work together with Hiroshima University. The meeting was also attended by Baktiyar Kuchumkulov, Head of the land use policy Department of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Control of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mirlan Dyldaev, Vice-rector for scientific wwork of KNU, Bakyt Keldibekov, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Relations, Gulzat Akmatbekova, Communications specialist of the Kyrgyz-Japan Center, and Japanese language teacher Mayram Jolbulakova.
