November 3 to 9, 2024 the Rector of KNU Dogdurbek Chontoev took part in a study tour to Schwäbisch Hall (Germany) as a member of delegation of heads of educational institutions from Central Asian countries as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Each country was represented by 2 people: a representative of the relevant Ministry and the rector of one of the universities.
During the trip, organized by the Goethe Institute in Kazakhstan, the delegation members were given the opportunity to get acquainted with the system of school, vocational and higher education in Germany through excursions, visits to educational institutions and information meetings.
Thus, representatives of educational institutions of the Central Asian countries visited the Heilbronn Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Wiirth Art Gallery, the Gewerbliche Schule industrial school, the Berufsschule fur Pflege vocational nursing school, the Hotel Hohenlohe enterprise, the Porsche plant, and also took language courses, worked in groups to discuss the results of a survey aamong directors in the field of education in Tashkent, took part in discussions on this topic and took a tour around the historical part of the city of Schwäbisch Hall, as well as attended a concert at the Goethe-Pub.
All expenses related to the trip were covered by the Goethe Institute in Kazakhstan.
It should be noted that the Goethe Institute is a cultural institution of the Federal Republic of Germany, whose branches operate in many countries around the world. Its activities are aimed at popularizing the German language abroad and expanding international cooperation in the field of education and culture.
