On March 31, 2026 Dogdurbek Chontoev, Rector of Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, received representatives of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), led by Ms. Li Yang, Deputy Director General of the CASS International Cooperation Bureau.
Warmly welcoming the guests from China, the Rector noted that the Book House, which opened at the National University on January 28, 2026, is a result of the good relations between the two countries. He noted that it is currently operating successfully, hosting numerous events and receiving many positive reviews. Visitors to the Book House are particularly impressed by the smart glasses equipped with artificial intelligence technology.
The head of the CASS delegation expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and reported that news of the opening of the Book House at CASS was featured in China’s main news feed. “We hope that our joint work will continue and will bear great fruit. Our and your experts will conduct joint research on green energy, artificial intelligence, jurisprudence, and many other issues,” noted Ms. Li Yang. She also invited KNU scholars to become experts in the Chinese Language Learning Alliance, which includes over 160 universities worldwide, and students to participate in the CASS academic mobility program.
