On March 6, 2026 “Kosh Zhyldyz-2026” creative competition was held at Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn. It was organized by the Department of Youth Policy and Sports in honor of International Women’s Day – March 8th.
Eight duets of faculty and students working and studying in the university’s departments participated in the creative competition:
- Higher School of Economics: Senior Lecturer Gulida Kadyrberdieva and first-year student Aktan Zhapakov;
- Kyrgyz-European Faculty: Senior Lecturer Chynara Esenturova and second-year student Emirbek Teshebaev;
- International Institute of Medicine and Science: Senior Lecturer Nurzhamal Chonmurunova and third-year student Sagar;
- Faculty of State and Municipal Administration: head of the EP “State and Municipal Administration” Nurmatova Gyulsaira and 1st year student Arslanbek Kataganov;
- Kyrgyz-Chinese Research Institute: Director of the institute Apaeva Sofya and 2nd year student Chimyrbaev Tynchtyk;
- Law Institute: senior lecturer Kozhogulov Mirbek and 2nd year student Raimbaeva Nurzida;
- Faculty of Physics and Electronics: laboratory assistant Tynybek kyzy Aidana and 4th year student Ratbekov Rinat;
- Vocational college: Deputy director Bolotbekov Chynyz and 1st year student Zholdoshbek kyzy Elzat.
The event was opened by the Rector of the Kyrgyz National University Dogdurbek Chontoev. He congratulated the women on March 8th and wished success to the competition participants. Kubanychbek Zhumabekov, chairman of the trade union committee, also delivered a festive speech.
The jury for the art competition included People’s Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic and renowned composer Nurlanbek Nyshanov, actress of the Kyrgyz National Theater “Manas” Aitbubu Atamkulova, and actor of the Kyrgyz National Theater “Manas” and winner of national and international competitions Mukhammed Sultanov.
During the creative competition, which consisted of two rounds, the participants performed a well-known song and then demonstrated their skills, combining poetry and acting.
The results of the three-hour “Kosh Zhyldyz-2026” creative competition are as follows:
- 1st place: Faculty of Physics and Electronics (laboratory assistant Aidana Tynybek kyzy and fourth-year student Rinat Ratbekov);
- 2nd place: Faculty of Public and Municipal Administration (Head of the Department Gyulsayra Nurmatova and first-year student Arslanbek Kataganov);
- 3rd place: Kyrgyz-Chinese Research Institute (Director Sofia Apaeva and second-year student Tynchtyk Chimyrbaev).
The winners were awarded diplomas of the corresponding degrees and valuable prizes.
