On October 17, 2025 students from Kashgar University of the People’s Republic of China arrived at the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn for an internship. During the internship, they will teach Chinese at the Confucius Institute of KNU.
19 students from China were received by the Rector of KNU, Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev. In his speech, he noted that the cooperation between the National University and Kashgar University is strengthening and brings results, and expressed his belief that the 3-month internship for Chinese students will be a time of professional growth, cultural exchange and personal discoveries, as well as a deeper understanding of the history, culture and traditions of the Kyrgyz people, and wished the students success.
Jia Jingfang, Director of the Confucius Institute from the Chinese side, noted that the visiting students will have the opportunity to learn the Kyrgyz language along with teaching.
At the end of the meeting, students expressed their gratitude to all the leaders who made it possible for them to come to the most famous higher education institution in Kyrgyzstan and have an internship.
