On September 26, 2025 Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev, Rector of Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn (KNU), received representatives of the Center for International Language Exchange and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China (the Center), led by Ms. Yu Tianqi, Deputy Director. The parties discussed issues of cooperation between the two countries in the field of education.
The activities of the Confucius Institute within the university were also discussed, and it was noted that great success has been achieved to date. It was emphasized that teacher training, language exchange, and the sharing of experiences will continue to strengthen relations. The meeting was attended by: Wang Huichang, Director of the Center’s Asia and Africa Department; Shao Yipeng, Director of the Center’s Teaching and Resources Department; Pan Shijing, Researcher at the Center’s Asia and Africa Department; Baktybek Keldibekov, Director of the KNU Department of International Cooperation and Relations; and Jia Jingfang, Director of the Confucius Institute on the Chinese side.
