On March 14, 2025 Mr. Chang Jian, Secretary of the Party Committee of Xian University of Petroleum, visited KNU. During the meeting with the Rector of KNU, Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev, the parties discussed the prospects for cooperation between the two universities in the field of education and science.
In his welcoming speech, Dogdurbek Chontoev noted that today’s meeting is an important step in strengthening friendship and cooperation between Kyrgyz National University and Xian University of Petroleum. — Our goal, — continued the Rector of KNU, — is to provide students and teachers with the opportunity to exchange knowledge, experience and culture with universities around the world. All this will contribute to improving the quality of education and science. We are confident that our cooperation will be successful and long-term and will open new horizons for our students and teachers.
Secretary of the Party Committee of Xian University of Petroleum Mr. Chang Jian thanked Dogdurbek Chontoev for the good organization of the meeting, briefly spoke about his university and noted that cooperation with the Kyrgyz National University can develop in many areas. He concluded his speech with the words: “We want to open the ‘doors of cooperation’ with your university.” During the meeting, specific areas of cooperation between the two universities were also discussed.
The meeting was attended by: Head of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department, Director of the Institute of International Education of Xian University Ms. Dong Hao, Administrator of the International Cooperation Project Ms. Bao Shanshan, as well as Director of the Department of International cooperation and Relations of KNU Bakyt Keldibekov, Director of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Institute Sofya Apaeva, Director of the Research Center “One Belt – One Road” Rashid Yusupov, and Head of the EP “Master’s and PhD Doctorate” of KCI Aisuluu Moldobaeva.
