A Chinese-Kyrgyz Center for Legal Expertise and Research will be established at KNU. This became known during a meeting between KNU Rector, Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev and a large delegation from the Northwest University of Politics and Law of China, headed by the Secretary of the Party Committee, the head of the Northwest University of Politics and Law, Mr. Zhao Wandong.
In his welcoming speech, KNU Rector Dogdurbek Chontoev noted that the visit of the delegation from the Northwest University of Politics and Law is an important step in strengthening cooperation between the two universities. — We are confident that the signing of a cooperation agreement between KNU and the Northwest University of Politics and Law opens new horizons for our educational and scientific initiatives. I would like to express my deep gratitude to the delegation from the Northwest University of Politics and Law for their willingness to cooperate. We are confident that this agreement will become a solid foundation for successful joint work and will bring significant benefits to both parties, — said Dogdurbek Chontoev.
The head of the Northwest University of Politics and Law, Mr. Zhao Wandong, thanked the Rector of KNU for the warm welcome, expressed hope for fruitful cooperation and noted that the Kyrgyz-Chinese Center for Legal Expertise and Research being created will become an important institution for conducting scientific research and training modern personnel.
Then, the rector of KNU Dogdurbek Chontoev and the Secretary of the party committee, the head of the Northwest University of Politics and Law, Mr. Zhao Wandong, signed agreements “On cooperation in the field of training innovative talents” and “On the establishment of the Kyrgyz-Chinese center for legal research”.
The first document provides for the development of international cooperation in the field of training highly qualified personnel with innovative abilities and intercultural communication skills. Under this Agreement, the parties will cooperate in the field of visiting scholar programs, degree programs and student exchange initiatives, promoting the sharing and exchange of educational resources, developing academic dialogue and research cooperation, and contributing to the development of innovation in the field of education in the context of globalization.
According to the second document, a Kyrgyz-Chinese legal research center will be established at KNU to support government agencies in the field of judicial cooperation, resolution of investment disputes, improvement of the legal framework for regional economic cooperation, as well as to create a high-quality educational platform for research on the legal system of China and Central Asia and the training of legal personnel focused on the provision of international legal services.
