On February 20, 2025 the Rector of KNU, Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev received a large delegation from Kunaev University headed by its Rector Omirali Jazira Omiralikyzy. During the meeting, the heads of the two universities discussed the implementation of dual-degree education in the areas of “Law” and “Business and Management”, joint scientific collaborations, as well as the development of academic mobility of students and faculty. In his welcoming speech, the Rector of KNU noted that it is a great honor for KNU to host a delegation of a respected university with which it has strong academic and friendly ties.
— I would like to note that our interaction with Kunaev University has acquired new dynamics thanks to the Forum organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, — continued Dogdurbek Chontoev. — This event has become an important platform for expanding partnerships, exchanging experiences and discussing joint educational projects. I would like to express my special gratitude for your support and contribution to the training of specialists in the field of “Customs”. The opportunity to study and do an internship at your university is a valuable experience for our students, which contributes to their professional development and intercultural interaction. In conclusion, Rector Dogdurbek Chontoev presented the Rector of Kunaev University with an invitation to the 100th anniversary of KNU, which is celebrated on October 25, 2025, and said: “We will be glad to see you within the walls of our university to celebrate this historical milestone together and outline new prospects for cooperation.”
