On January 12-14, 2026 a delegation led by Professor Dogdurbek Chontoev, Rector of the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, participated in the International Conference on Scientific and Technical Cooperation and Exchanges organized by the Xinjiang Institute of Chemical and Physical Technology (XICPT) under the Academy of Sciences of the People\u2019s Republic of China and the 14th Meeting of the Governing Council of the Confucius Institute at Xinjiang Pedagogical University (SPU).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the visit, the official opening of the \u201cChina-Kyrgyz Joint Laboratory for Multilingual and Intellectual Data Processing\u201d was held, and further plans and goals for the implementation of the project were discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second important area of \u200b\u200b\u200b\u200bthe meeting was the consideration of the intergovernmental joint research project on the digitization of the \u201cManas\u201d epic. Baktybek Jailoobaev, Dean of the Faculty of Kyrgyz Philology, made a report on the \u201cManas\u201d epic and provided detailed information about the scientific research conducted in this area at the National University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result of the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty of Kyrgyz Philology Baktybek Jailoobaev and the Director of the Confucius Institute from the Kyrgyz side, Zhyldyz Usenbaeva, were awarded the certificate of \u201cForeign Researcher of the Confucius Institute from the Kyrgyz side\u201d. The Conference was also attended by the Director of the Institute of Computer Technologies and Artificial Intelligence Amantur Ryspaev, and the Director of the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics Izat Usenov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the 14th meeting of the Confucius Institute Governing Board held at Xinjiang Pedagogical University, the results of the council\u2019s activities in 2025 were summarized and a work plan for 2026 was proposed. The event was attended by the Rector of Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn Dogdurbek Chontoev, the Secretary of the Party Committee of Xinjiang Uyghur University Mr. Jiang Haizong, the Vice-Rector Mr. Wang Shijie, the Directors of the Confucius Institute Zhyldyz Usenbaeva and Jia Jingfang, as well as other representatives of Xinjiang Pedagogical University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
