As part of the project \u201cThe Network on International Education in South Caucasus and Central Asia at the Intersection of Educational Spaces (NIE-SCCA-EdSp)\u201d, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) through the \u201cHigher Education Dialogue with the Muslim World\u201d program, a delegation from Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn is visiting Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) in Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The delegation includes First Vice-Rector and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Alaibek Shamshiev, as well as graduate students and a student from the Institute of Foreign Languages, led by the local project director, Kenjebai Karataevich Umetov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project is being implemented with the participation of Friedrich-Alexander University (FAU), Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (ASPU), Fergana State University (FSU), Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, and Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project aims to develop university cooperation and intercultural dialogue between Germany and the countries of the post-Soviet Islamic space, as well as to study the processes of internationalization of education in the South Caucasus and Central Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the delegation\u2019s visit, meetings are planned with the leadership of Friedrich-Alexander University, including the President and Vice president, and discussing prospects for further cooperation in education and research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of the official program of the visit, First Vice-Rector Alaibek Shamshiev presented commemorative medals for the 100th anniversary of Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn to Friedrich-Alexander University President Professor Joachim Hornegger, Vice-President Professor Andreas Hirsch, and Project Director Professor Anatoly Rakhkochkin, as a token of gratitude for their fruitful cooperation and support of academic initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In return, as a sign of mutual respect and friendship between the universities, Friedrich-Alexander University President Professor Joachim Hornegger presented a friendship medal exclusively to the Kyrgyz National University!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the meeting, the parties agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding between the universities\u2019 leaders in the near future on cooperation to further develop their partnership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This visit will strengthen international ties, expand academic partnerships, and create new opportunities for KNU students and faculty in joint educational programs and research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
