Dear colleagues, students, teachers, professors, associate professors and employees of the Kyrgyz National University!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Today we are witnessing a special and joyful moment in the history of the Kyrgyz National University \u2013 our university has entered the 1201-1400th position of the international QS World Rankings (QS WUR)! This was one of the most important strategic goals set for our university, and we were able to achieve it in such a short time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over the past seven months, we have done a tremendous job in implementing the plan and roadmap for the transition to the \u201cUniversity 4.0\u201d model. The basis of this success is the immense contribution of each member of the community \u2013 teachers, administrative staff, and students. The tireless work of each of you and your dedication to the University have brought us to this height.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our entry into the QS ranking is not a coincidence. It is the result of the focused and continuous work of our community:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n
Development of strategic documents:<\/strong> We have developed and adopted the strategic plan for the development of the KNU until 2027, the \u201cUniversity 4.0\u201d model and the roadmap for entering the global top 1000 rankings until 2026, the policy for implementing the goals of the sustainable development program, the quality of education and its goals, the personnel policy, as well as the action plan for entering the QS World University Rankings 2026 rating. These documents are supported by internal orders and orders, clearly defining our path.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Use of international experience:<\/strong> We have established contacts with leading universities in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Uzbekistan \u2013 Baku State University, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Shakarim University, B. Yeltsin Ural Federal University, Korkyt Ata Kyzyl-Ordo University, Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan, Sh. Rashidov Samarkand State University and learned from their best practices. These connections have helped to increase our academic reputation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Increasing scientific activity:<\/strong> In order to increase international publication activity, we conduct training seminars for over 2,000 faculty members. The seminars taught the strategy for publishing scientific articles in journals indexed to the international databases Scopus and Web of Science. In addition, a financial incentive program worth 315,000 soms was implemented from November 2024 to March 2025, which encouraged publication activity in international publications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Expanding international mobility:<\/strong> The number of faculty and students participating in academic mobility programs increased. This allowed us to increase the \u201cInternational Faculty Ratio\u201d from 21 to 22, and the \u201cForeign Student Ratio\u201d from 1,187 to 1,267.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Cooperation with employers:<\/strong> The fruitful work carried out with leading employers has strengthened the reputation of the university, which contributed to the average employment rate of our graduates reaching 78%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Accurate data provision:<\/strong> The working group established by the Rector\u2019s Order No. 447 dated October 25, 2024 managed to accurately and completely enter information about the activities of the Jusup Balasagyn KNU into the QS Hub portal in English, within the established time frame. This process began on January 24, 2024, when QS provided KNU with a registration account (number 25545) and opened access to the university\u2019s profile on its QS Hub portal. This official registration allowed us to begin the process of providing data for inclusion in the prestigious global ranking.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
After processing all the data entered, the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn took 381st place out of 984 universities in the ranking of the best universities in Asia and 25th place in the ranking of the best universities in Central Asia in 2025. This officially entered the QS system and showed that we had achieved our first significant successes. The fact that we were not included in the top 1500 universities in the world in 2025 prompted us to analyze the next steps and work even harder, and as a result of these efforts, we are now in the 1201-1400th position in the world ranking!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This success is the result of the personal contribution of each of you, your professionalism and your endless dedication to the university. We have proven that the Kyrgyz National University has taken a worthy place on the world stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This achievement is just the beginning of our journey. New goals and even higher peaks are ahead of us. We will continue to work tirelessly to improve our position and take a leading position in the international educational space. I am confident that together with you we will be able to strengthen the position of the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn and turn it into one of the leading centers of education and science.
